Frank Thomas Group

During 1999 Frank Thomas Ltd acquired Motrax, supplier of motorcycle accessories, helmets and luggage, and a parent company Frank Thomas Holdings Ltd was formed in conjunction with Barclays Private Equity (BPE).

The group was expanded further with the formation of a sister company Lewis, to provide mass market, value for money clothing and accessories. In 2003 a secondary management buyout was conducted in conjunction with ABN AMRO Capital Ltd, releasing equity partners BPE. Later that year the group was strengthened further by the acquisition of Lintek, supplier of motorcycle replacement parts.

Today, under the leadership of Chief Executive Steven Franklin, the Group continues to grow and mature. Each company within the group retains its own identity. Frank Thomas, Motrax and Lewis continue to design and develop all of their own branded products in-house. With its specialist ranges of motorcycle clothing, boots, gloves, helmets and luggage, the Frank Thomas Group remains the UK market leader.

Frank Thomas

Based in Northamptonshire, an area of England long associated with boot and shoe production, Frank Thomas continues a tradition of craftsmanship and excellence dating back centuries. It is, however, a modern company whose exemplary design, quality of manufacture and speedy distribution has placed it at the pinnacle of the motorcycle clothing industry. With each product the aim is to combine excellent design with serious functionality.

Lewis defines stylish, quality, dependable motorcycle clothing and accessories for men, women and children.

Motrax

Established in 1993 Motrax has grown to become the largest aftermarket motorcycle accessories distributor in the UK. Motrax is the importer for well-known brands such as Caberg Helmets, Laser Exhausts and Cargo Luggage to name but a few, and also has many 'home grown' products lines that have become market leaders such as its extensive range of indicators. Motrax prides itself on bringing innovative and well-priced products to motorcyclists to enhance the riding experience.

Lintek

Lintek has 30 years experience in meeting the needs of the UK motorcycle industry. It is the UK motorcycle trade's premier distributor. Lintek stocks a wide range of top brand products including Ferodo, NGK, Scottoiler, Silkolene, Arashi helmets and EK Chain.
